Freeheld, un amor incondicional

Freeheld is the love story of Laurel Hester and Stacie Andrée and their fight for justice. Decorated New Jersey police officer Laurel is diagnosed with cancer and wants to leave her pension earned from her over the years to her domestic partner, Stacie. However, the law-making county officials (freeholders), who do not take kindly to the gay couple, conspire to prevent it. Detective Dan Wells and activist Steven Goldstein join in her defence, rallying police officers and ordinary citizens to support her fight for equality. Inspired by real events, this romantic drama starring Julianne Moore and Elliot Page recounts the fight that Laurel Hester maintained until her last days for equality.
