Amar Sokhen and Hadi Moussally, Lebanese souls of FIRE!! 2026

Published On: 13 May, 2026

On the occasion of this year’s look at Arab and Persian queer cinema, cultural programmer Amar Sokhen and director and photographer Hadi Moussally, both from Barcelona, have been at the heart of our programme this year.

With Amar, and thanks in particular to his knowledge of the Lebanese queer film scene, we have been able to design a large part of the programming of the section The Gaze at Arab and Persian queer cinema“.

As for Hadi, he has lent himself to different exercises! First of all, he is the author of the great graphic image, where we see him characterize his famous alter ego, Salma Zahore. To liven up this graphic piece, he has also prepared a small spot, about the voice of the famous singer Sherihan. You will also see him on the opening day with his performance I Am Love, on Thursday 4 June at 8pm.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Amar and Hadi!
