We present the graphic image of FIRE!! 2025! Prepared with great care by our designer, Verónica Carracedo, and with the motto “30 years lighting up looks”, in reference to these 30 editions and almost 1300 films, to see more and better ourselves on the screen, to open our eyes and those of others to the realities and experiences of our collective.

In Films, you already have all the titles programmed at the Institut Français from 5 to 15 June and all the parallel activities at More FIRE!! especial 30 anys. As always, it’s very difficult to recommend titles, as they’re all wonderful! Still, don’t miss the inaugural film, Thesis on a Domestication, based on the novel by transgender writer and actress Camila Sosa Villada, with her own stunning performance. Or Cactus Pears, the first film by Indian director Rohan Parashuram Kanawade and which deals with homosexuality in a rural context of his country, or One Dances, the Other Doesn’t, a small lesbian independent gem, also the first feature film by director Emilie Girardin, or Estrella, cometa, satélite y planeta, a documentary about Fernando Estrella, an essential figure of the Madrid scene in the 80ies, or Une vie rêvée, with the wonderful performance of Carla Bruni-Tedeschi, in the role of a woman mistreated in life who sees the light thanks to the affection of another woman.
