We present the tutors of the FIRE!! LAB 2025!
The fifth edition of the FIRE!! LAB , which will help 10 LGTBIQ+ themed feature film and series projects to become a reality, will feature amazing tutors and tutors!
Feature film projects:
Júlia de Paz Solvas, director.
After her first feature film, Ama (Silver Biznaga for Best Actress in Málaga; Feroz Puerta Oscura Award for Best Film; nominated for the Goya Awards for Best Adapted Screenplay), she directs the short film Harta (three Biznagas in Malaga; Gaudí Award for Best Short Film). Her second feature film is currently in post-production. She was the second director of the series Las largas sombras, and the co-writer of the series Querer.
Paola Botrán. Executive Producer specialized in cinema and co-productions
With 10 years of experience and background in international sales, she was selected as Producer Under the Spotlight 2023 and one of the 10 Spanish production companies to follow by Variety, a member of the EAVE network after her selection in Ponts 2022 and EAVE Marketing 2023. Currently, she is an Associate Producer for film and series at Cattleya Producciones (a company of the British group ITV).
Rocío Mesa. Film creation, production, programming.
Her last feature film as a director and screenwriter, Secaderos (2022), had its world premiere at the San Sebastian Film Festival, winning the Dunia Ayaso Award, and was presented internationally at the prestigious SXSW festival in Austin (Texas) where it won the “Visions” audience award. Her first feature film was the creative documentary Orensanz (2013) premiered at the Seville European Film Festival and selected at international festivals such as BAFICI.
Javier Ferreiro. Screenwriter, producer and director
Specialized in screenwriting, he studied fiction direction at the International School of Film and Television (EICTV – Cuba). Back in Spain, he began to develop projects with his production company Amor y Lujo, and with the support of funds and institutions such as the ICAA, the ICEC and Ibermedia, among others. Screenwriter of Vestidas de Azul (sequel to the successful Veneno); creator and director of Mariliendre, the first series in the Official Selection of the Malaga Film Festival that closes it. Javier is developing his directorial debut, Fame e febre.
Ana Joven. Producer
Head of development at the production company Minoria Absoluta, where she promotes fiction and entertainment projects. She has been executive producer of Love Cost (3Cat) and Epic Nails Volume 2, and director of formats such as Mónica y el sexo (Amazon) and Acoustic Home (HBO). She has also worked as a scriptwriter in programmes such as Batalla Monumental, Persona Infiltrada and Tricicle: 40 años, and has participated in programmes with a massive audience such as Tu cara me suena, ¡Ahora caigo! and ¡Mira quién baila!.
She combines her professional work with teaching in master’s and postgraduate courses specialising in screenwriting and executive production. Her commitment to the sector and her experience endorse her as a key figure in the industry.
Victor Sala. Film festival critic and director
Co-founder of the online magazine Serielitzats and Serielitzats Fest, the Barcelona International Series Festival that has invited screenwriters such as Jesse Armstrong (Succession), David Simon (The Wire), Sally Wainwright (Happy Valley) or Vince Gilligan (Breaking Bad). Since 2022 he has directed the series laboratory Serielizados Kick, teaches television formats at Pompeu Fabra University and coordinates MINIPUT, a quality television show that has been held in Barcelona since 1992. He has written the short film Robota and the television pilot Psycho Palms for the production company Open the Portal, and is an advisor to several production companies.

Class: Autofiction: Maricón perdido. The process of believing and creating. To believe in oneself and to create oneself.
In 2010 he published his first novel, Mansos. He also has other publications such as the humorous essay Cuando haces Bop ya no hay stop , Días ajenos, the first installment of his literary and intimate diaries; or the essay Un miércoles de enero, where he displays his facet as a critic of the media. He became known to the general public as a collaborator in Andreu Buenafuente’s program Late Motiv, of which he was the deputy director. He has taught literary creation workshops in Barcelona and regularly collaborates with media such as La Marea, La Sexta and Cadena SER. In 2021 he made his debut as a fiction creator with Maricón perdido (presented at FIRE!!), winner of the Ondas award for Best Comedy Series.
David Moragas. Screenwriter, director and writer

Graduated in Audiovisual Communication from Pompeu Fabra University, in Barcelona, master’s degree in Film Direction from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, in New York, thanks to a scholarship from the Obra Social la Caixa. His films have received numerous awards (nomination for the Gaudí Awards of the Catalan Film Academy for Demà ho deixem; short film winner of the VOC award from Òmnium Cultural; best editing for his film A Stormy Night). He currently lives in Barcelona and combines his work as a director and screenwriter with teaching at Pompeu Fabra University. Fervor is his first novel. His second feature film, Another Man, will be released in theaters in the fall of 2025.
Pilar Toro. Director of Marketing and Communication

Director of Marketing and Communication at Filmin since January 2022, Pilar Toro’s career has always been linked to film and television. From her beginnings at Canal+ through her time at NBC Universal, where she specialized in Social Media while managing the social media campaign for the film La Llamada, by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi; until she arrived at Netflix Spain, where she worked on the campaigns of titles such as Élite, Las Chicas del Cable, Paquita Salas, Nevenka or Sky Rojo.
