Croatian cinema: Sandbag Dam. Thursday 12/06, 8 pm

Very rarely do we have the opportunity to program LGTBIQ+ cinema from Croatia, and we do so this year with the masterful film Sandbag Dam, which also has Lithuanian and Slovenian participation. We follow the steps of Marko, who lives in a Croatian village with his parents and his younger brother, Fićo. Although he is a great sportsman, he is preparing to be a car mechanic, once he has finished school. But two events shake Marko’s seemingly stable life: the village is threatened by a flood and his first and forbidden love, Slaven, returns home for his father’s burial.
