Round table “New horizons and challenges of lesbian cinema in Spain” – Thursday 12/06, 6pm

The round table New horizons and challenges of lesbian cinema in Spain, will evoke the emergence of a new generation of female directors capable of realistically transmitting the real experiences of the younger lesbian community, to remind us how complicated it is for women to make films and even more so with lesbian themes, despite the increasingly common presence of lesbian actresses out of the closet in our film scene. New projects, such as the production companies Amor y Lujo, Vayolet Films, or Loba Loba, also seem to be changing things, towards a better representation of lesbian women in Spanish cinema. We will discuss this on Thursday 12/06 at 6pm at the LGTBI Centre, with the producer Carlotta Schiavon, the film critic Violeta Kovacsics Grisolía, the film director Sara Fantova, with the moderation of Mar Canet, director of La Casa del Cine.
