A wonderful feature film by American director Marco Calvani, High Tide tells the story of Lourenço, a Brazilian immigrant whose visa is about to expire, who feels sunk and adrift when, unexpectedly, his American boyfriend leaves him alone in Provincetown with ethereal promises to return. When he meets Maurice – a friendly nurse on holiday who also feels a little out of place – the two form an unexpected connection…
