Fathers and Dad is Pretty, at Cinema Girona

Here comes the closing of this Mostra FIRE!! edition, with two Asian films, at Cinema Girona! The Thai Fathers will talk about homoparentality, in a country still reluctant to grant equal rights to same-sex couples (Friday 29th). The comedy Dad is Pretty will evoke with humor the theme of transsexuality in Korea, where the LGBT community, already quite visible, continues to fight for better social and legal recognition (Saturday 30th). White Nights: Change the date!

Mario in Santa Coloma de Gramenet

Unveiled with Amnesty International, and White Nights

The screening of Unveiled, on Friday the 22nd at the Girona cinemas, will be presented by Amnesty International, collaborator of FIRE!! since several years. Don’t miss this splendid portrait of Maria Toorpakai, a professional squash player from Pakistan who rejects the oppressive gender norms of her country. FIRE on Tour in Santa Coloma de Gramanet scheduled for Wednesday June 13 will be moved to Wednesday June 20 in a new space.
